Summer Skin
With all things wonderful about summer, there are some that are not so wonderful. Bugs, humidity, and perhaps the worst of all for skin is sunburn. Sunburn can range from mild to serious and present a host of symptoms such as red irritated skin, mild forms of blisters, nausea, fever, and in severe cases, vomiting.
Exposure to the heat can further cause reddening of the skin and exacerberate rupture of the capillaries.
Now the good news. Since we all love the great outdoors, here are a few tips to keep you protected and soothe sunburn should prevention fail.
- Apply C + E Ferulic and full-spectrum sunblock protection daily.
- If prevention fails to the point of sunburn, freeze aloe vera gel in ice cube trays and then apply the cubes to the skin for soothing, cooling comfort
- Follow this with an application of fruit enzyme peel. Leave on for 10 minutes.
- Gently rinse and hydrate the skin with vitamin E cream of 100,000 IU.
